Sara Jones

Jazz Pianist & Vocalist

We're delighted to welcome Sara Jones back to The Pink Event® for her third consecutive year, where she'll once again set the tone for an unforgettable evening during our Opening Celebration Hour.

An award-winning jazz vocalist and pianist, Sara is the first-place winner of the Billie Holiday Vocal Competition and has performed with renowned orchestras and at prestigious venues across the country, including the National Symphony Orchestra, Boston Pops Orchestra, and the Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts. Her warm vocals, elegant piano style, and engaging stage presence have made her a beloved performer throughout the Baltimore–Washington region and beyond.

Her beautiful blend of jazz standards, timeless favorites, and sophisticated style encourages conversation, connection, and celebration as attendees begin an evening designed to inspire and uplift.

Dr. Rebecca Dupas

Poet • Author • Multidisciplinary Artist

We're excited to welcome Dr. Rebecca Dupas to The Pink Event®: Sweet 16 Legacy Edition, where she'll take the stage for a special poetry and spoken word performance.

Baltimore's 2024 Renaissance Woman of the Year, Dr. Dupas is an accomplished multidisciplinary artist whose work spans poetry, fiction, nonfiction, photography, and jewelry design. Known for her vulnerability and relatability, she has been honored as a two-time Poet of the Year in Philadelphia and Baltimore and named a Baltimore Legend at the Crown Awards.

A Louisiana native now based in the DMV, Dr. Dupas has more than 20 years of experience curating and hosting influential poetry events. Her work explores themes central to the Black experience and has earned recognition from platforms including Fox 5, C-SPAN, PBS, and WEAA, as well as features in The Washington Post and the DC Black Film Festival.

Poetry has a way of creating space for us to pause, reflect, and connect—and that's exactly the kind of moment we want to bring to the Sweet 16 Legacy Edition.

Dr. Dupas' vulnerability, relatability, and powerful storytelling will bring another dimension to the evening, inviting guests to experience artistry not just through what they hear, but through what they feel.
